Puzzles approved in the Twitter Puzzles studio and short articles written here wait in a queue; at the daily times below, the server posts the next one to every connected channel. At the standings time it also picks the best tournament being played and posts its table as a picture. Every link carries tags naming the channel and the post, so the tables at the bottom show what each one brought in.

How often. One puzzle a day is the right rhythm for X: steady beats busy for a new account, and a daily puzzle gives followers a reason to come back. Add a short article two or three times a week. When they are connected: Instagram 3โ€“5 posts a week, Facebook about one a day, YouTube Shorts a few a week (they need video). The queue below says how many days it covers; keep at least a week ahead.

Tournament standings

At the standings time the server looks at the tournaments Lichess is broadcasting (being played now, or finished in the last two days), ranks them, reads the games of the best three and posts the strongest table as a picture, linking to /standings.html. The ranking: Lichess's tier for the event (5 is the biggest and most watched, 3 an ordinary one), then the field (grandmasters, the top ten's average rating), then news value (a round finished in the last day, or a final table). Engine events and knockouts are left out, and so is a tournament before the round set under Schedule (round 7 by default: an early table says little). A tournament gets one card per round at most and not two days running unless the second is its final table. Leave the time empty to stop them.

Traffic and conversion

A visit or account belongs to a channel by the tags on the link that first brought the person (every post here carries them), or else by the site that sent them (t.co for X). The browser keeps that first tag until the visitor signs up, so visits count every visit by someone who first came from that channel. Paying = a real Stripe subscription. Bots and guests are left out.

Connecting X

  1. Sign in to developer.x.com as @Chessmovesai and create a project and an app (the free plan is enough for one post a day; X changes its API plans often, so check what the current one allows).
  2. In the app's User authentication settings: App permissions Read and write, type Web App / Automated App, callback and website https://chessmovesai.com.
  3. Under Keys and tokens: copy the API Key and Secret, then generate the Access Token and Secret (after setting Read and write, or they stay read-only).
  4. On the server, type them in where nothing is shown or saved in history:
    ssh -t -i ~/.ssh/chessflow root@168.119.186.215 'cd /opt/chessflow-backend && bash scripts/set-x-keys.sh'
  5. Back here, press Check X on the X card. Then post one from the queue with Post now before turning on Post automatically.
